Amy offers workshops to educators, mental health and medical professionals, community and church groups and can design a workshop for your group. Currently available workshops include:
"Opening Your Heart" workshops are modeled after the skills taught in the "Opening Your Heart" audio c.d. These workshops are personal and experiential, designed for individuals to map out a felt sense of emotion in the body, in order to balance and gain clarity. If you want a sense of clear personal direction, confidence and release from limiting patterns this is the workshop for you or your group. Individuals can also purchase a c.d. with three telephone coaching sessions with Amy. Weekend workshops available; call to schedule. There is also an Opening Your Heart group for teens!
"Emotions: the building blocks of identity" outlines the emotional social development of children as well and offers vignettes from Amy's work with children enrolled in St. Louis County Head Start classes and Leech Lake Band of Objiwe Head Start classes. This workshop can be adapted for educators teaching children of all ages, or mental health professionals. Former clients include the Minnesota Association for the Education of Young Children, The Chicago Metro Association for the Education of Young Children, Hibbing Community College, MN Association for Children's Mental Health Conference, Minnesota Licensed Family Child Care Conference, St. Louis County Courts (guardian ad litem training), and the New Horizons Health and Wellness Expo.
"Emotions and Attachment--a model for psychological healing" reviews information and research on attachment and the implication of emotional development and healing stages for the treatment of specific mental health disorders. A model for goal-oriented change is reviewed, with case examples and correlations to mental health diagnoses. Best for medical and mental health professionals.
"Boost Your Mood with Food" reviews the link between types of food and brain chemistry, and draws heavily from psychiatrist Dr. Henry Emmons' book "The Chemistry of Joy." Focuses on the power of good eating to positively influence mood and emotion. |
